Sizing Guide

To measure yourself: bust, around the fullest part of the bust. Waist, around the smallest part of the waist. Hips, around the widest part of the hips.

Measure yourself as shown above, then find your size below. Every piece is cut a little differently, so the size chart on each product page is always the one to trust. This is the general guide.

Body measurements

In inches, describing the body rather than the garment. A fitted dress sits close to these; a flowing one leaves more room through the waist and hip.

Between two sizes

Take the larger size. A dress that is slightly generous can be taken in by any tailor for very little, while one that is slightly tight usually cannot be let out, because occasion fabrics rarely leave enough seam allowance to work with.

If your bust and hips land on different sizes, choose for the part the dress is fitted through. On a corset or bodycon style that is the bust. On an A-line or fit-and-flare it is the waist, because the skirt clears the hips on its own.

Still not sure

Open Find My Size on any product page and answer four quick questions, or read the chart in the Size and Fit panel on that product, which comes from the actual garment. If you are still deciding, send us your measurements and we will tell you which size we would pick.
